CASE DIGITAL PRODUCT — CONCEPT PROJECT
FLUX
Motion as the interface’s material.
Overview
FLUX is a concept study in interface motion as a brand asset. Instead of decorating screens with animation, the system defines how the product physically behaves — how elements enter, respond, connect and rest.
A concept motion system for a digital product — a defined set of curves, durations and choreography rules that make an interface feel designed from the inside out.
01 — The Challenge
Most product animation is ad-hoc: every screen moves differently, and the result feels unpolished even when everything is “animated”. The challenge was to design motion the way type systems are designed — as rules.
02 — The Objective
Create a complete motion specification: easing curves, duration scale, choreography principles and component behaviors — documented so engineers and designers ship the same feel.
03 — Strategy
Motion tokens mirror the design tokens. Just as color has semantic roles, movement has roles: entering, emphasizing, connecting and resting — each with defined curves and durations.
04 — Creative Direction
Fluid but engineered. Ribbons of motion in the brand visuals translate directly into the product’s transition language — the marketing site and the app move as one organism.
05 VISUAL LANGUAGE
Moodboard & System
Micro-labels use a compact mono to document states — a nod to the system’s engineering roots.
06 — Motion Exploration
The core curve is a custom ease-out with a long tail. Elements arrive decisively and settle softly. Stagger is capped at 40ms so lists feel choreographed, not cascading forever.

08 — Outcome
As a concept project, FLUX shows how treating motion as a designed system — not a garnish — makes a product feel considered, coherent and unmistakably branded.
